Fun in the sun
Last Saturday we took advantage of the awesome weather and spent the whole day outside at the Miley's house. The boys played in the water on the slip and slide and playground. We had a great time and the boys loved playing with their friends Ashton and Noah.

Kaiden was trying to slip and slide but he was a little scared of jumping and sliding. Kaiden would lay down on his belly and I would pull him by the arms to slide him down the slip in slide.

Zachary loved playing on this swing that John made out of a stick. he looked like a trapeze artist or something and would never let go.

Eating a snack like always!

Kaiden and Ashton were eating a snow cone wrapped up in the same towel. They thought it was so much fun walking around like conjoined twins. It was hilarious watching them walk around.

Sea World April 17-19
I know this is a little late but I am just now getting around to downloading these pictures from Shelly. We went to Sea World with our friends the Reese's one weekend and had a blast. It was a perfect weekend because it was not crowded and we were able to see lot of the park including the water park. Here are some pictures from our adventure!

4 years and still going strong

May 8 was our 4 year anniversary and I can not express enough how much in love I am with my husband Nick. We were able to spend our anniversary in Germany this year which was much needed after not having a honeymoon. Nick had to travel to Germany for work and of course I decided to tag along. There was no way I was letting my husband go to another country during our anniversary without me. Being able to spend 10 days with just my husband was a blessing that made me realize all of the reasons why I married such an amazing man. Since we got married 4 years ago we have never had this many days together just the two of us. We acted like we were newlyweds on our honeymoon and we loved every minute of it, except of course when Nick had to go to work.

So much happened in Germany that would require me to write WAY too much in a single post but we can sum it all up as an interesting, amazing, hilarious adventure were we were able to reconnect all over again and understand why we both first fell in love 6 years ago.

Tiger Kaiden
At school on Thursday Kaiden's class was painting with water colors on butcher paper that was laid out on the table. His teachers brought him to my class showing me that he had more fun painting his face than the table. At least he had fun! Check out our new Tiger!

"Help me"
Our little climber can pretty much climb on anything and everything. He goes from the coffee table to the high chair and then gets stuck up there. He loves to climb on the kitchen table. If there is a chair watch out he will climb it! We had to push our chairs against the wall and then push the table up against that but he has figured out a way to still get on the table by climbing the couch. He has also learned to still climb into the chairs even if the table is in the way. He gets stuck of course and gets mad, but he is persistent and will do it over and over again. No matter how many times I say no, move him, or spank his bottom, he will continue to go right back and do it all over again. His other new favorite thing is getting on the computer chair and messing with the computer. Good thing I can cover the computer with a door. He keeps me on my toes at all times and never gives up. Hear is a pic from him today getting stuck on his highchair and screaming for help.

Ready for Soccer
Kaiden is all ready for soccer in his Germany soccer outfit that daddy got him last year from Germany. It finally fits him good and he wears it pretty much everyday asking to play soccer. He tells us that he is ready to be on a real team. We will be putting him Upward soccer at our church this year since he will be 4 and we are all excited about it. The new way to mow!
So apparently mowing the lawn in your undewear is the new thing. At least daddy is wearing shorts, right? I guess it helps that Kaiden is wearing boxer briefs instead of whitey tighties! LOL I wonder what our neighbors thought???

New best friend
We went to Sea World this past weekend and we let the boys each get a toy from the gift shop. Kaiden originally wanted Shamu, but he decided to get a vibrating dolphin. We went ahead and got Zachary the Shamu and he LOVES it! He goes to bed with it every night and hugs it randomly throughout the day. In the morning when I get him out of bed he has to pick up his Shamu first and then he is ready to go. Kaiden keeps asking if he can take his dolphin in the water but I keep trying to explain to him that he will not work anymore. He is ready to go back to get a Shamu that goes in the water. I will have to post Sea World pictures later. We went with our friends The Reese's and Shelly has all the pictures on her camera.

Look mom a new pony!
Our neighbors next door thought that they would pass down this old rocking horse to us since their kids had outgrown it. My boys love it, especially Zachary. Is he not the cutest little thing! He looks so proud that he got on there all by himself.

Easter with family
We spent Easter with my family on the Saturday before Easter Sunday at my brothers house in Friendswood. We had a large group there...it was my parents, my brother(Chris) and his family, my brother(Erik) and his family, Erik's in laws and brother in law, and Cousins. The kids had so much fun finding all of their eggs.

Kaiden was so fast that I really never got a good pic of him because he was running too much.

Zachary had the Easter egg hunting thing down to a science. He would pick up an egg, put it in his basket, bend over to get another egg while accidentally tipping over his basket which meant that he had to pick up more eggs. At one point he even tried to hide eggs again so he could hunt them all over again. This continued all the way inside after we were done hunting. If you took his basket away, beware he would scream. He was even a egg snatcher and stole poor Maggie's eggs that got dropped. She is not walking so I guess he thought they were fair game. LOL

Easter Egg Hunt anyone???

So I think we ended up doing about 5 Easter Egg Hunts this year, not including the family one. My boys had a blast at every single one too!

Easter Egg Hunt #1 was with the church playgroup. I was watching Noah that day too so I opted to leave the sleepy Zachary in the stroller, poor baby!

Easter Egg Hunt #2 was at our local park in our neighborhood. I was a brave woman and took 4 kids all by myself and I survived!!! I think I'm ready for more kids. LOL I took my boys and also Micah and Sohpie. They did great and had so much fun. they each even got a basket filled with stuff.

Easter Egg Hunt #3 was for Kaiden at school. Since I teach there I was able to go see him. Don;'t I look cute wearing my bunny ears???

Yes Kaiden is a ladies man at age 3...he always has the girls chasing him in class. LOL

Easter Egg Hunt #4 was with my moms group. There were only a few kids but we made the best of it and the kids had a blast finding all the eggs in the woods.

The babies were trying to put their eggs back into this hiding spot. i guess since they only got two eggs each they thought that they would re hide them over and over again.

Easter Egg Hunt #5 was at a community park where we went last year. they have TONS of eggs and break it into age groups. Zachary was really tired and was more interested in holding his basket and watching everyone. Kaiden was a sweet big brother and collected eggs for him.

This is Kaiden telling daddy the Easter story with Resurrection eggs. I had told Kaiden the story the previous day and he also learned it in class at school. So he was telling daddy everything he knew. No daddy is not sleeping, his eyes are just closed. LOL

Kaiden's Fractured Collar Bone
It has been 2 weeks now that Kaiden has fractured his collar bone. On Sunday March 29 we were headed home from a wedding in Dallas and decided to stop at the rest stop in Huntsville. If you have not stopped there it is pretty cool. It's fairly new and has a playground and a nature trail. We thought it would be great to let the kids get out and burn off some energy after being in the car for so long. Kaiden was going down the twirly slide and landed on his arm. All I heard was this blood curdling scream and I knew right away that something was wrong. He calmed down and told me that his arm hurt, and kept pointing to his left chest/collar bone and could not move that arm very much. We went ahead and headed home, gave him some medicine, a nice hot bath, and put him to bed. The next morning I woke up and decided that I needed to take him to the dr. since he still could not move his arm very well and said it really hurt. We went to the dr and then took him to get xrays. The dr. called me that night and told me that he had a fractured collar bone. There is not much you can do for a collar bone, they can not cast it. It has to just heal on it's own. So we went Tuesday and got him a sling and a figure 8 strap.
We had such a hard time getting him to wear it and leaving it on. How do you tell a 3 1/2 yr old to be "careful" and to not use that arm??? The sad part was that we had to tell him to not play, he was so upset.
He is doing much better now and can actually lift his arm , not all the way, but he can lift it. He technically does not have to wear the sling and strap anymore, but we are going to make him wear it when we go somewhere just so that his shoulder stays in place a little better. This whole situation has made me a little more stressed out these past 2 weeks because he has almost re injured it several times. That boy is way too active to be slowed down by a fractured collar bone!
