Costume Parade at school
Today was our costume parade at school where I teach and where Kaiden goes too. All the kids looked absolutely adorable in their little halloween costumes. I would post pictures of my class on here but I would have to get all the parents permission to do so. In our class we had everything from spiderman, cinderella, and even stitch from lilo and stitch(this outfit was too cute). The hardest costume for me to look at was the 2 little boys who dressed up as UT football players, yes 2 of them. I was like are kidding me I can't teach your child, don't you know there is a big game this weekend??? These boys are too cute to pass up though so I allowed them to come into our class. I didn't hold it against them. It was not their decision to be UT fans right?
Kaiden was such a cute little cowboy. He had his hat, boots, jeans, vest, and rope(pops made it for him) so he was set to go. I decided to dress up too, why not right? I found my old dance costume when I did a duet with Cindy(my sister in law now) back in high school. We were Spartan cheerleaders and danced to old school music like MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice Ice Baby!! It actually fit me except for the skirt which I could barely zip up half way. I guess I have changed a lot from the waste down after having 2 babies!! HAHA Sorry Cindy I could not find my spanky pants. :)

Ok do I look like I am 16 or what? The side pony is awesome, because I am from teh planet awesome! (or so Michele says, LOL)

Best Friends
Ashton and Kaiden are best friends and really enjoy spending time with each other. They have their moments especially when they want the same toy AND they feed off of each other's personalities. When one of them screams and runs the other one is sure to follow. They are a hand full together but they truly do love each other as friends. They always have so much fun together and seem to laugh at the littlest things. It really puts a smile on my face when I see them playing so well together sometimes. It also helps that Ashton's mom is my best friend too, we are even co teachers at school. We all cherish each other's friendships.

Old MacDonald's Farm
We went to Old MacDonald's Farm last Friday with our church playgroup and we had a blast. This place has train ride, petting/feeding zoo, pony rides, playgrounds, sand castle and more. Kaiden loves this place especially when we can go pick out a pumpkin for him. Here are some pics from our funfilled day.


Kaiden's pumpkin is not the big huge one he is sitting on it is the little one on the side of him. Wouldn't that be crazy if we walked away with that gigantic pumpkin.


Zachary had fun swinging from this rope in the barn. As you can tell on his face he was enjoying every minute.

Kaiden feeding the horse. All the animals are so well tamed and very sweet. You have to watch out for the deer walking around because they will attack your bag of food if you are not careful, they have also been known to dump over trash cans. It is crazy walking around and the deer just follow you if you have food.

Zachary is now able to walk behind his car and he is so proud of himself. Mommy is so proud too!Take a look at my on the go baby. Check out the videos below!

Scary Teeth
Kaiden had some vampire teeth in his mouth from a birthday party he went to this weekend. It was hilarious looking at him with these big teeth in his little mouth. It is kinda freaky too because he looks totally different. Watch out Kaiden might come get you!

Brave Zachary
Zachary is getting more brave about standing. This was one of those push lawnmowers at a friends house and it is not very sturdy to pull up on. Zachary managed to pull up on it and stood there for a long time. He really wanted to go, but had a hard time trying to push it. He took 1 step trying to push it. He will actually take steps if you stand behind him and hold his hands. Did I tell you that he is a fast little booger when it comes to crawling? He was going as fast as some people were walking the other night at the Fall Festival at my brother's church. He wanted so bad to get down and just go.
By the way you can't tell that he is wearing his Texas Tech shirt with the double T on it ready for game day Saturday! We won that game. GO TECH!

Pumpkin Patch
Today I took the boys to a local church that has a pumpkin patch. They both had fun checking out the pumpkins and playing with some of the activities that they had. I wish Zachary was a little more photogenic but he had just woken up from a very short nap and was pretty sleepy.

Zachary had a blast sitting in the corn while Kaiden and some other kids dumped it all over his legs and tried to bury him.

Kaiden feeding brother
Ok so I was feeding Zachary cereal this morning and he acted like he was done so I gave him some stars (puff snacks) and went to the other room for a minute. Kaiden was suppose to be sitting at the kitchen table eating his breakfast. I guess he thought that brother looked hungry because he decided to feed him the rest of his cereal. I come in there to see that poor Zachary had food all over his head, clothes, and face. But, I guess he didn't mind because he was eating what Kaiden was feeding him. I am sure Zachary is saying, "Thanks brother, but my mom is not this messy!"



And we are done! This is Zachary's way of saying that he is all done.

Bathtime Fun
The boys have such a blast taking baths together. Zachary is always laughing at something Kaiden is doing and Kaiden thinks it is fun to pour water on brother's head. Zachary is such a big boy now that he can take baths with his brother. I think I am going to have to get some paints for the bathtub for some more fun!

Sick Baby
Last night Zachary had a mild fever of 99 before he went to bed. I did not think too much of it because I know he has been teething and for sure thought it was from that. I checked on him before I went to bed around midnight...yes midnight(it is hard to sleep without Nick home) and he had a fever of 102.1. Yikes! So I gave him Tylenol in his sleep and realized that this is way more than just teething. I then started remembering how he has acted the past couple of days and he has been really fussy and was touching his left ear. I took him to the dr this morning and it turns out that he does have an ear infection in that left ear. He seems to be feeling a little better this morning with a low grade fever. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and he will get rid of this ear infection. I am so ready for Nick to come home!!!

Daddy in California
Nick left for California Monday morning and will be gone for a week!!! We already miss him, especially mommy. This morning is the first real morning that he has been gone and I can already feel anxiety setting in. Kaiden is having some problems with his asthma, his breathing was 50 breaths per minute the average is 25-30. Luckily since his breathing treatments it has gone down some, but I am keeping a close eye on him. I can not handle having him sick with Nick gone. Last time he got pneumonia pretty quickly. Then, Zachary started gagging and throwing up this morning because he had something in his mouth that he was not suppose to have, a peice of alumnium seal from like a medicine bottle or something. I have no idea how he got it. I'm sure from our floor somehow, but man was that scary. It has been an eventful morning already. Please keep all of us in your prayers this week that we can make it through the rest of the week without our daddy with no worries. Bring peace to me and the boys because I really do not like having him away.

8 Months
Can you believe that little man here turned 8 months on Oct. 6? It is crazy to think that in just 4 more months we will be celebrating his 1 year birthday. I don't know why pregnancy goes by so slow but having a baby, especially second child goes by super fast!
Here is what our sweet boy is up to now a days. He is really on the move! Crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything(even the wall), cruising around the furniture(progressing more everyday), eating like a champ, and starting to talk more. Did I mention he was into everything?? He loves paper and we have to be careful because he likes to put it directly in his mouth, yikes! We are trying to tell Kaiden to be careful what he puts on the ground or coffee table because it is all fair game once he does. :) He is really enjoying eating table foods now, he wants it more than the baby food. He loves bread of any kind, club crackers, peaches, noodles, tomatoes, avocados, grapes, sweet potato, and much more. We have been trying to give him more and more different foods but make sure that they mush easily in his mouth and are very small pieces cause he still has no teeth!
His favorite words are "Dada" and "Bubu." Hello?? where's Mama? Today I was trying to get him to say Mama and he just looked at me and kept repeating "DaDa." Oh well, I know he will say it soon! He will actually look at Kaiden sometimes and say "Bubu," or look at daddy and say "Dada."
We are blessed to have such a healthy beautiful baby boy who is already so full of life and happy! My poor baby, like Kaiden has developed excema. Kaiden's was on his legs and arms and Zachary's is on his precious little face. :( We have been putting some cream on it and it has gotten tons better so hopefully we can go take family pictures soon.


UH OH! I told you he was into everything!

He loves playing with this toy. He actually tried to climb it yesterday.

Yes, he is almost standing by himself. His hands are together and he is barely leaning against the kitchen with his hands but not holding on. He is one brave little man.

Abilene Zoo
We went and visited the Abilene Zoo while we were there and the boys had tons of fun. Abilene Zoo is a small zoo and there was hardly anyone there. It felt like we had the whole zoo to ourselves. We saw the monkeys, lions, snakes, fish, birds, and even fed a giraffe. That was the coolest part. I uploaded a video so make sure you watch it! Papa's House


We spent a week at Papa's hosue in Abilene after Hurricane Ike since we had no power! The boys had a lot of fun playing with play doh, going to the park, and visiting the zoo.
