Hanging out with mommy!
Today Zachary wanted to be held a lot so I decided to put him in the wrap and walk around the house with him while doing some light chores. He really enjoyed being able to face out and look at everything. Plus mommy got a great workout just by doing some chores, I think I should do this more often(the wrap thing, not the chores, LOL). As you can tell by his smiley face he was a happy baby. My mom and I made this wrap just by cutting the fabric and placing a applique on the middle. Then you just wrap it a certain way on your body and put the baby in it. It really is comfortable and works great.

House full of kids!

This week I have been watching Micah, Kaiden's friend from church all day until this Thursday. They have had so much fun together. they have laughed hysterically at who knows what, read books together, played games, danced, and kept each other very entertained. We really enjoyed having Micah over this week.

We also watched Noah for an hour Monday and Tuesday night while Michele took his older brother Ashton to swimming lessons. Noah is just starting to walk so we all got a kick out of who could try to get him to walk farther.

Playing Hi Ho Cheerio. They did so good with this game. It taught them counting and they both caught on very quickly. I was impressed with Kaiden one time when he looked at Micah's tree and said, "Micah has 3 more apples left." I was like wow! this game really does work with helping them count.

Reading before nap...I had to end up separating them in order to get them to take a nap. They would just giggle and talk the whole time.

Visit with Papa
Papa(Nick's dad) came a visited us this weekend for Kaiden's birthday party. We had a great time catching up with him and I know he loved seeing his boys, including Nick. Papa lives in Abilene so we do not get to see him often enough. We will be spending Thanksgiving this year with him and hopefully Nick's sisters too!
He got Kaiden a remote control Shelby Mustang for hs birthday, but I think Nick is enjoying it more than Kaiden! HAHA

Zachary sits up
Zachary is now sitting up unassisted pretty good now. I still have to put pillows around him for those occasional falls, but he is getting better and better at it everyday. He is actually starting to catch himself if he starts to fall sometimes and rebalance. He is so strong and will be crawling before we know it.

Kaiden's Jungle Safari Birthday Party
Since Kaiden loves going to the zoo and loves animals we decided to do his 3rd birthday as a jungle safari. We decorated our entire front room to be the Davaul Jungle. When the guests arrived they decorated binoculars for the safari hunt later on. We also played games such as Monkey See Monkey Do(Simon Says), Guess the animal, and we had our big Jungle Safari Hunt. This was the best part. Each child got their own passport and their binoculars and headed out into our front yard in search for the missing animals. They then had to capture the animals and place them in a cage. Every time they captured an animal they would receive a stamp in their passport. The kids had so much fun searching for the animals and getting their stamps. Of course we also had a pinata that was the number 3. When I brought it home Kaiden goes "Wow it's the letter E." I just laughed because when I showed it to him it was actually backwards so technically he was right!
Kaiden LOVES all of his presents and wants to thank everyone who came to his party. unfortunately we were unable to invite ALL of Kaiden's friends because we do not have a big enough house to host that many kids and their parents. It was very hard narrowing down the guest list, but I let Kaiden decide who he wanted to invite. We had a great turnout and a wonderful safari party.

Visit with Mama Dot
We went and visited Mama Dot (Kaiden's Great Grandmother on Bekah's side) for a couple of hours this past weekend when we where in town for Marissa's wedding. Kaiden had a lot of fun playing with the old toys that she had while Zachary was very content with just being held by Mama Dot. It was a good visit for all of us.

My good friend/roommate/pom squad member from college Marissa Martinez got married on July 19 to Jordan Hampton. I am so excited for her and Jordan and their marriage. We had such a great time at the wedding. Bekah got to visit with her friends and former Texas Tech Pom Squad Members. Kaiden was cutting up the dance floor with his moves/break dancing while Zachary was being loved on by his honorary grandma, Mary (Elizabath's mom).

Marissa's & Jordan's Rehearsal Dinner
Friday July 18 we went to Fort Worth Zoo for my friend from college's rehearsal dinner. It was really neat because they brought out animals before we started eating. Kaiden was interested in the alligator, but did not want to get too close. Mommy got to visit with all of her good friends from college that were on the Texas Tech Pom Squad with her.

Kaiden saw a Lion and tried to charge at it roaring as loud as he could to scare him! He thought he had the bigger ROAR. Daddy had to hold him back.

Happy 3rd Birthday Kaiden!
Kaiden turned 3 on July 16th. We woke up that morning at my cousins house that I was house sitting for and made him apple cinnamon muffins. Nana & Pops were visiting this day so they were able to celebrate his actual birthday with us. He was so excited about the candle in his muffin and us signing "Happy Birthday" to him.
That night we went to dinner with Nana, Pops, cousin Paige and Daddy (who was home while we were house sitting for a week and a half). We met at Chili's and Kaiden got to open a few presents that we got in the mail from his Gramma Sugie, Aunt Ariane(Coo), Papa, and Miss Elizabeth. We then met our friends The Miley's and took Kaiden to see the show Disne'y's Make a Wish at the Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston. This was a free show where the actors sung and danced to all of the favorite Disney songs. Kaiden & Zachary both loved this show. They were both staring intently the whole time which lasted until 11pm! Zachary took a little snooze during intermission but as soon as the music started he was up again ready for the show.

Roxanne & Shawn Laine's wedding
Saturday the 12th we went to Roxanne Blue and Shawn Laine's wedding in New Braunfels, Tx. Roxanne is a good friend of Nick's from college. It was a beautiful laid back wedding. We drove down there that day stayed for the wedding and then drove back that night around 11:30. It was a 3 1/2 hour drive so we got home about 3am. We meant to leave at 10 but we were having a great time with some of Nick's old friends from college. Plus our boys were great and enjoying the reception. Kaiden was dancing away and Zachary was staring at everything with wide eyes.

Galveston Beach
Wednesday I took Kaiden, Zachary, my cousin Paige and her friend Ayshia to the beach. I am house sitting/babysitting/dog sitting this week and next week for my cousins down in Friendswood. Kaiden really enjoyed the beach, especially playing with the girls. Zachary stayed pretty much in the shade most of the time underneath our umbrella. We all put sunscreen on, but for some reason I was the lucky one who got sunburned...BAD. My whole back looks like a lobster. I guess I was whiter than I thought. :)
