Surprise!
Nick turned 30 on Wed, June 16 and I wanted to do something special for him. My first surprise for Nick was having his dad come in from out of town. Donald(Nick's dad) drove in all the way from Abilene Friday night and surprised Nick with a visit.
Then on Saturday I had been planning a surprise birthday party for Nick for a month. Luckily I was able to keep it from him and he never suspected a thing. However I almost got completely busted twice. First he called my house and my mom answered the phone! I am sure he was like what on earth is Bekah's mom doing at our house? Luckily my mom was quick on her feet and made up a story of why she was there. (they live about an hour south of us, so not likely for her to just pop over) Then he come home 5 minutes early! Me and Donald had to quickly come up with something to get him from going inside and away from the house for just a little bit longer. My dad and Rebecca (my sister in law) were right around the corner and I wanted them to be there when we surprised Nick. My dad had to physically hide behind our neighbor's house to not been seen by Nick. Hopefully our neighbor's did not think he was a stalker in his bright yellow shirt. LOL We sent Nick to the library to return some books and on his way out of the neighborhood he saw Rebecca (who lives an hour away too) driving into our neighborhood. At that point I knew he thought something was up but he still had no clue what I had going on.
When he finally came home and walked in the door I surprised him with his friends and family at our house to celebrate his birthday! We had a great time and I enjoyed seeing his smiling face when he walked in the door. Happy 30th Birthday Nick. We love you!


It took him about 3 chances to blow out all 30 candles. :)

Look at this picture closely (click on the picture to see a larger view) and you will see that we caught Nick with one of his many faces! Ok what in the world is Nick looking at? No his eyse were not closed! His face is absolutely priceless and I crack up laughing every time I see this picture. Hey at least my husband still enjoyes looking at his wife. LOL

Zachary got caught!
Since Kaiden walked away from his yogurt and left it on the kitchen table Zachary only assumed that it was fair game. So he just climbed right on up the table and helped himself to the yogurt! Mommy came in and caught him with yogurt all over him. I mean how else would you eat yogurt without a spoon? Zachary's theory was to use his hand, yum yum!

Sleepover
Tonight Kaiden had his friend Alex over for a sleepover and Zachary had Kainoa over for a sleepover. So we have a house full of boys tonight! They played super heroes while the babies chased the bog boys around the house, took a bath, and were all finally asleep by 9:30. (babies were asleep by 8:30)

Meet Cookie Mouse
Today at Barnes N Noble they had Cookie mouse from the book If you give a Mouse a Cookie dressed up. They read the story, sang songs, pictures of Cookie Mouse, craft, and a snack. We went with our friends the Reese's 9Ethan, Alex and Kainoa).

Zachary was not sure what to think of him. He bascially stood there and watched him the whole time. He finally got brave enough, walked right up to him and touched his leg.

Pirates
We went to a Pirate dress up show at the May Community Center in Huffman this week and the boys had so much fun watching the show, wearing their pirate patches (except Zachary), digging for treasure and putting on tattoos.

ARGH Matey!

Zachary would get some treasure then take it back, put it in the box and close the lid. He repeasted this several times. Every time he did it he would follow up with clapping and would say "Yeah." It was too cute

Blueberry Picking
Enjoy this smilebox to see our fun at the blueberry farm. The boys had a blast and they did really good. Zachary would not stop eating the blueberries. the lady at the front joked that they dont way the kids just the blueberries in the buckets. good thing because we would have probably had to pay for another pound. We got a little over 3 lbs.

Going for a ride
Kaiden and Zachary went for a ride before church on Sunday on their motorized bike. It was so cute watching them drive around the street.
