We decided to venture out on a HOT summer day with cousins to go to the zoo. This would be Lincoln's first zoo trip and I must say he did great with it being so hot. We were planning on checking out their new splash pad but of course it was closed on the hottest day! So we only stayed for a couple of hours and made sure to enjoy the indoor a/c exhibits as much as we could. A lot of the animals were hiding anyways because of the heat. We did get to see some cool stuff though including the elephants getting a bath. We visited the swap shop which is always a must when we go. Cameron was kind enough to share some of his cool finds with the boys so that they could trade it in for shark teeth.

Zachary made me read EVERY sign in the reptile exhibit. Sometimes I had to read them twice. Since Kaiden can read I was making him read as much as he could to Zachary.
